A Christmas special at Ruby’s

in Notting Hill, London

Monday 7th December 2026

£600 p/p

A retreat for Christmas at my place.

I’m opening the doors of my home to just 20 people who want to give themselves a little more kindness this Christmas.

The holiday season can be wonderful, but let’s be honest, it can also be a bit of an emotional obstacle course. Happy memories, difficult memories, people we miss, people we have to see, things we thought we'd got over suddenly turning up uninvited, and somewhere in the middle of it all, our minds are doing overtime.

During our day together, I’ll share some of the Mind Tools I’ve learnt through my own lived experience, ways of understanding what your mind is doing, rather than believing every thought it throws at you. I call it Mind Fitness., just as we exercise the body, we can train the mind. We can’t stop the negative thoughts completely, but we can learn not to be dragged around by them quite so much, and Christmas seems like a pretty good time to practise being on your own side.

Because when we create a little more calm inside ourselves, it changes how we experience everything around us.

We become less reactive, more present, and perhaps a little more able to meet ourselves and everyone else with compassion.

Give yourself the present of learning to become more present this year.

The holiday season has a strange habit of turning the volume up on everything, there can be joy, excitement and connection and right alongside it, grief, loneliness, old wounds, family triggers, anxiety and memories you weren’t planning on unpacking before Christmas lunch. The aim isn’t to pretend those feelings aren’t there. It’s to learn how to meet them with a little more kindness and compassion.

If we can turn down the internal noise, even slightly, life can stop feeling like one enormous list of things we’re failing to get done. We can pause. Breathe. Notice what’s actually happening, and that’s when the stress comes down, something that feels good can happen when you have more peace for yourself.

This day will give you some simple tools to help you meet Christmas as a different version of yourself, with less overwhelm, less overthinking and a little more calm. We’ll prepare for those familiar moments when the anxiety starts whispering that you’ve forgotten a present, missed someone’s dietary requirements, or somehow managed to organise Christmas for everyone except yourself.

Rather than finding yourself smiling on the outside while quietly losing the plot on the inside, you’ll have some tools to pause, notice what’s happening and bring yourself back to the moment, the aim isn’t to be perfect, it’s to feel more able to handle whatever Christmas brings, the joy, the memories, the difficult moments and everything in between.

The Venue.
Join me, at my home, for a rare, intimate Christmas holiday retreat, where we’ll explore the spin cycle of our minds. Together, we’ll unpack the mental loops that are usually on loop, and I’ll guide you toward a place of grounded calm and clarity. I’ll show you how I meet the challenges you usually face at this time of the year, without getting swept into the drama. That’s my practice of peaceful Christmas, and I’d love to share it with you.

The Food.
We’ll have a spread of delicious festive delights for you to choose from at Ruby’s House for lunch. You’ll choose your dish on the day, and yes, we’ve got you covered no matter what, please let us know your dietary needs.
